Chris currently serves as the Product Manager – Specialty Pharmaceuticals within Albemarle’s Fine Chemistry Services Division where he has global financial responsibility for 20 marketed generic API products and portfolio of developmental APIs. He has been connected to the API manufacturing business for the past 8 years, having started as a Process Development Chemist with Albemarle. After earning his MBA from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business in 2010, Dr. Claeboe moved out of the laboratory and into Project and more recently, Product Management. His expertise centers upon the development and progression of API manufacturing processes from small laboratory syntheses to full scale commercial manufacturing. Prior to completing a post-doctoral fellowship at Indiana University w/ Professor David R. Williams in 2005, Dr. Claeboe earned his Ph.D. in organic chemistry in 2003 from the University of Virginia under the tutelage of Sidney Hecht having focused his research on modified oligonucleotide synthesis. Chris’ undergraduate studies were completed at the University of Florida in which he earned BS degrees in both Chemistry and Zoology.
